Real estate video QC checklist before client delivery
A completed export proves that a file rendered. It does not prove that the correct property, sequence, branding and delivery version were reviewed.

QUICK ANSWER
Before delivery, confirm that the video belongs to the correct property and version, covers the ordered scope, follows the approved brief, has intentional cuts and usable audio where required, uses the correct branding and output format, and opens successfully in the client-facing package. Record approval separately from the editor’s submission.
Confirm identity, scope and current version first
Match the property and job identifier before reviewing creative details. Compare the submitted video with the ordered service, current instructions and expected variants. Keep source, submitted, correction and approved files distinguishable.
If the client ordered branded and unbranded outputs, review each required variant rather than assuming one export proves both.
- Correct property, job and latest submitted version.
- All ordered spaces or sequence requirements addressed.
- Correct branding or unbranded variant.
- No superseded export in the delivery package.
Review picture, edit and audio as separate decisions
Watch the entire video at normal playback and inspect transitions, unintended blank frames, visible export faults, orientation and any text requested in the brief. Where audio is part of the service, check level consistency, unwanted gaps and the approved track or narration. Apply your current standards rather than inventing preferences during review.
| Review area | Question | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Coverage | Does it match the ordered scope? | Accept or list the missing item |
| Timeline | Are cuts and transitions intentional? | Approve or cite the timecode |
| Audio | Is the required audio present and usable? | Approve or request a correction |
| Output | Is this the required variant and format? | Move only the approved file to delivery |
Use timecoded feedback in an illustrative review
In a fictional submission, the reviewer finds an outdated exterior title at 00:08 and an abrupt audio cut at 00:41. The revision request names both timecodes, the expected result and the next review time. The editor submits a new version; the reviewer rechecks the corrected areas and the final export before approval.
The example shows traceable feedback, not a universal creative standard.
Test the client-facing handoff
Open the delivery link or package as the recipient would. Confirm playback, access, label and that only approved variants are visible. Record the reviewer, approved version and decision time on the property job.
- Play the delivered file, not only the local master.
- Check mobile or alternate playback where your service requires it.
- Explain any agreed outstanding deliverable.
- Keep post-delivery requests as a new revision event.
