Floor-plan QC checklist for property-media teams

A floor-plan file can be present without being complete. The reviewer needs a clear scope, a reliable source and authority to stop delivery when a property detail is uncertain.

QUICK ANSWER

Check that the floor plan belongs to the correct property and current job, includes the agreed spaces and levels, uses the requested labels and output variant, and contains no obvious omissions or contradictions against the approved source and brief. Escalate uncertain property facts instead of guessing, then approve a named version before client delivery.

Verify identity and expected scope

Match the floor plan with the property address or job identifier and the current submitted version. Confirm which levels, detached spaces or variants were ordered. Use the agreed capture record and job brief; do not infer a missing space from memory.

If the supporting information is incomplete, assign the question to the person who can verify it.

  • Correct property, level and version.
  • All agreed spaces represented.
  • Requested branded or unbranded variant.
  • Named source or person for factual questions.

Review labels, layout and export requirements

Check requested room names, orientation or annotations, output dimensions and file type according to the service definition. Look for duplicated labels, missing areas, clipped content and unreadable export elements. Treat any uncertain factual change as an exception.

The reviewer confirms the delivery standard; they should not silently redesign or invent property information.

Illustrative correction flow

A fictional two-level property plan arrives with both levels, but the upstairs landing is labeled as a bedroom and the requested unbranded export is absent. QC records the exact label and missing variant, keeps the submission out of delivery, and asks the appropriate owner to confirm the correction. A new version is reviewed in full before approval.

The example is a workflow pattern, not a factual standard for room classification.

Approve the version that enters the package

Record the approved filename or version, reviewer and time. Open the client-facing package to confirm the plan is visible alongside the right property media and that superseded files are excluded. A later correction should create a new revision event rather than overwrite the approval history.
